Birds

I dare you to.

Pour 20 pounds of bird seed in your yard,

Leave home for two weeks!

When you return, I sure hope you find what I did!
15 or so baby birds, well teenage birds. LOL!
I was shocked at how ugly they are, but it is still neat to watch them grow into Beautiful Red Birds!

New Bern, North Carolina

New Bern

Small town, lots of big boats, and pretty good jam sessions on the river.

Its the oldest town in North Carolina. Founded by the Swiss, they named the town New Bern because Bern was their Capitol in Switzerland.
We had the pleasure of staying in the Hilton of New Bern. The service was very incredible. They dealt with all kinds of people with elegance and charm. LOL!

THE DREADED BIRTHDAY!

Each year, I notice people worrying more and more about getting older and losing their youthful beauty. I'm just now hearing my YOUTHFUL peers complaints about how old we are getting to be. I would like to announce that I am 34 years old. I see life as a 34 year old, and I can honestly say that I feel great about it. As each year passes, I do not always notice a big change, nor do I feel older. Nevertheless, I am older.
Each new experience has slightly changed me.

LIFE WILL ALWAYS LEAVE ITS MARK. Whether it is a scar, a warm smile, or a cold lonely tear, it is something. Life is the going to age us, shape us, and guess what. . .

IT IS AN HONOR.

I am excited to see the world this year as a 34 year old woman. I am going to try to look at my surroundings and see what I can do to help. I pray that I am not blinded by ideas and differences that I have acquired from scars and lonely tears. I hope I share the warm smiles that have been given to me. If the Lord wills, I want to learn all I can about Him and What He is doing because he is amazingly smart, funny, and totally in control.

Wow, this is going to be a great year. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
